AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D saw record-low prices at the back end of last year. Of course, it didn’t take long for the processor to rocket right back to MSRP. Thankfully, you have another shot at grabbing a discount, as the top gaming CPU has gone on sale again.

Surprisingly, Amazon UK doesn’t list this as a reduction at all, simply stating it’ll set you back £349.98. Whether this new price point is here to stay is anyone’s guess. What we can tell you is it usually runs for at least £370. Amazon US is a little more upfront with its savings, lopping 18% off for a trimmer $369 price tag. Neither of these is the best price we’ve ever seen, but they’re not a far cry.

We don’t need to keep it under the microscope to know it’s the best CPU for gaming. Frame rates speak for themselves. Only Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Intel’s tippity top range can keep pace. This is all thanks to its lofty 96MB L3 cache, which does more heavy lifting with fps than its eight cores and 16 threads ever could.

Putting this in perspective, it gets anywhere between 15% and 40% more fps than processors with a slimmer cache. And this is all without the help of upscales like FSR or DLSS.

Full disclosure: we’re a little critical in our AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D review. With a 5GHz boost clock, it’s on the lower end compared to its series counterparts. If we were to conduct a value rating based on today’s price, though, it’d shoot up past Ryzen 9 7950X3D. There’s a lot more on offer now that it costs less.

Since these deals are on Amazon, you could have it as soon as tomorrow with a Prime subscription. I know that video streaming has ads now, but it’s still worth the lump sum for what you get. In the meantime, we’ll keep hunting for deals. You can stay in the loop by following us on Twitter and Facebook, or subscribe to our free newsletter for more discounts.
