Turtle Beach reveals Scout Air true wireless earbuds

Enough playtime for gym addicts.

Turtle Beach has launched pre-orders for its Scout Air true wireless earbuds. Powered by 6mm drivers, these in-ear headphones are capable of 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, to not miss a beat.

Battery life is rated at five hours of playback with an additional 15 hours using the charging case. A full earbuds recharge is said to take only 15 minutes. In contrast, AirPods 3 take five minutes to charge enough for a single hour of use.

Bluetooth 5.1 ensures a wide compatibility range, from PC (Windows 10/11) to Mac and Nintendo Switch. For the latter, a firmware update is required through Turtle Beach’s Audio Hub app. Available on Android and iOS, the app also lets you customize touch-enabled controls, select between four EQ presets, or turn game mode on.

Talking about game mode, this specialised setting is designed to reduce latency from 100ms to 60ms, helping you get those audio queues sooner, so lag excuses are no longer accepted.

IPX4 water/sweat resistance allows for long sessions of training or outdoor usage without worry, while the dual mics should help with voice pickup and clarity during communications.

The Scout Air will begin shipping March 21 and is available to pre-order at a cost of £89.99.
