The Roundup: Microsoft Windows 1 announcement commemorative tech news bits

There is a lot of tech business news today, as well as the usual PC hardware and gaming extras.

Today in 1983, Microsoft formally announced that Windows 1 was on the way. CEO Bill Gates promised a release by April 1984, however it wasn’t released to retail, as Windows 1.01 in the US, until November 1985.
