Gigabyte has unveiled the Aorus C500 Glass chassis with motherboard compatibility and liquid cooling in mind.
The mid-tower measures 250mm (W) x 482mm (D) x 548mm (H), weighs 13.4kg and features a mesh front as well as a tempered glass side panel. Inside, we find a lot of small things that make assembly easier, such as cable-management holes and a backplate cut-out.
It has enough space for up to eATX motherboards, 190mm-tall CPU coolers, 220mm-long PSUs, and 420mm-long graphics cards. The latter can also be positioned vertically for some extra style points, although the PCIe riser cable doesn’t seem to be included in the box.
On the cooling side, there is a place for three 120mm or 140mm fans in the front, three 120mm or two 140mm up top, and one 120mm or 140mm in the back. The chassis comes bundled with three 120mm ARGB PWM fans in the front plus one in the rear. For liquid cooling, there’s compatibility with up to 420mm radiators in the front, 360mm up top, and 140mm in the back.
The storage section is made of two 3.5in/2.5in drive bays plus two 2.5in ones; basic, but enough for most users, especially when factoring in some upcoming boards that include four PCIe M.2 slots.
Finally, the front I/O consists of two audio jacks, two USB 3.0 Type-A and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports.
All that remains is price and availability, which Gigabyte hasn’t disclosed yet.
