Philips unveils the 16B1P3302 1080p portable monitor

The built-in stand is very convenient.

Philips has announced a portable full-HD IPS screen joining its 3000 series for those who need dual displays on the go.

Touting a 15.6in screen and dubbed 16B1P3302, the portable monitor measures 359mm (W) x 232mm (H) x 119mm (D). It’s lightweight, too, tipping the scales at just a kilogram, including stand. Add to that its 6W consumption in Eco mode or 0.1W standby, alongside power delivery over USB, and you have a hassle-free travel monitor. This little one is only missing a battery to become a perfect companion.

The 15.6in IPS panel is equipped with a W-LED backlight capable of displaying 64 per cent sRGB plus 46 per cent NTSC colour gamut at 250-nit maximum luminosity and 700:1 contrast ratio, all while featuring a welcome 75Hz refresh rate and 4ms GtG response time. Some may say these numbers are weak, however keep in mind this is a portable screen, powered via USB, and not a premium monitor. We can also see it as a small, secondary office monitor that you can take back home with you.

16B1P3302’s connectivity consists of a USB Type-C port supporting DisplayPort Alt mode, a single USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Nothing fancy, actually, and just what is needed for operation.

As for ergonomics, it has a 90° pivot and tilt alongside VESA mounting using an adapter. Let’s not forget the low-blue-light mode and flicker-free technology which offer a comfortable viewing experience.

The Philips 16B1P3302 will be available in July 2022 for a respectable £219.99.
