Asus has announced two ProArt RTX graphics cards joining its professional hardware family, offering a premium feel instead of RGB bling.
The company is planning to release two models; a ProArt GeForce RTX 4080 OC Edition and a ProArt GeForce RTX 4070 Ti OC Edition. The former boasts 9,728 CUDA cores clocked 4.8 per cent faster than Nvidia’s reference at 2,595MHz boost or 2,625MHz OC, coupled with the usual 16GB of GDDR6X memory.
The latter, meanwhile, packs 7,680 CUDA cores clocked 5.7 per cent higher than reference at 2,730MHz boost or 2,760MHz OC, combined with 12GB of GDDR6X. Video outputs are unchanged from the rest of RTX cards, naturally, as we find three DisplayPort 1.4a plus one HDMI 2.1a port.
In other words, these should perform on par with currently available AIB cards such as MSI’s RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X or Palit’s RTX 4080 GameRock OC when gaming. Temperatures are another story that needs hands-on testing when these models release, though looking at the size of the heatsink and fans, GPU temps are probably well under control. Under load, the ProArt GeForce RTX 4080 produces about 44dB of noise, according to Asus, however it becomes completely silent in light workloads thanks to a 0RPM mode.
Both cards seem to carry a similar 2.5-slot cooler topped by three 90- or 100mm fans, taking power from a single 12VHPWR connector. Both also follow the ProArt style found on other products of the lineup, like the Creator motherboards. Behind, we find a flow-through opening on the backplate alongside some branding. All the logos and text use the same gold tint which gives the cards a premium look.
Owners can enjoy a free three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud which includes over 20 apps alongside 100GB of cloud storage – applicable to a new or existing account. A ProArt graphics card holder is also included in the box.
Unfortunately, Asus didn’t disclose any pricing, but since these are targeting ‘professionals,’ they may come at a markup over MSRP.
