As one of few independent publications, our goal is to inspire tech enthusiasts from all walks of life, helping PC DIYers achieve their goals irrespective of background, demographic or budget. To help further our ambition, we are expanding our squad with a hardware editor who will help lead our team of writers through an evolving tech landscape.
The ideal candidate will be a confident team player with deep knowledge of core PC tech, and experience working as an editor or writer in the PC hardware space. Our successful candidate will have the opportunity to test and evaluate the latest components before the general public, as well as travel to high-profile tech events around the globe.
Job title: Senior Hardware Editor
Location: Remote, UK-based
Responsibilities:
- Test and evaluate a wide range of PC components
- Author impartial professional reviews
- Oversee newswriting team
- Contribute to daily news output with wit and authority
- Fact-check editorial for accuracy
Requirements:
- Encyclopaedic knowledge of PC hardware components
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and NDAs
- Thorough understanding of web-based CMS
- At least 18 years of age
- UK resident with valid passport
