There’s no need to wait for Black Friday if you’re in the market for a speedy SSD upgrade. Costs have tumbled these past months and with Crucial’s latest price cuts, we must be near the bottom.

Our deal of the day is the 2TB Crucial P3, a tried-and-trusted M.2 SSD whose price has plummeted to £64.75 in the UK and $74.99 in the US. That’s the lowest on record and a great price for a spacious drive capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500MB/s.

Want a little more oomph? We’d be remiss not to mention to 2TB Crucial P3 Plus, whose price has also plummeted to £77.44 in the UK and $79.99 in the US. That’s comfortably better than half price, and opting for the Plus increases sequential speeds to 5,000MB/s.

Phenomenal value. We’re now at the point where it makes sense for every enthusiast PC user to have at least a 2TB SSD as their primary drive. Heck, at these prices, it’s easy to add a second or upgrade the laptop while you’re at it.

The latest industry reports suggest big-name manufacturers plan to cut back on NAND production in an effort to halt and reverse the drastic decline in SSD prices. Such actions will take a while to have an impact at retail, but one thing’s for certain, there’s never been a better time to buy an SSD. Get in while the going’s good.
