MaxSun, maker of the RTX 4070 Ti iCraft, has announced a white version of the iCraft Z790 motherboard featuring 12+3+2 power phases and up to 400W power delivery.
Powered by Intel’s high-end Z790 chipset, and designed with overclocking in mind, this so-called MS-iCraft Z790 is an ATX motherboard boasting a fantastic-looking white PCB offering a fresh departure from the dark themes we usually see, ideal for RGB builds thanks to its light reflection potential.
The board is topped by some thick VRM heatsinks connected via 6mm nickel-plated heatpipes, alongside dedicated heatspreaders for all M.2 slots. Even the back carries a reinforcement metal plate for added rigidity.
While the general layout is similar to the classic black PCB iCraft Z790, this white version unfortunately does see a few specs dialled down a bit. For starters, the original 19+1 90A Dr.Mos phases have been lowered to a 12+3+2 VRM design using 60A ICs, which is still fairly competent mind you, as the brand still claims up to 400W power delivery like the classic model. Probably just running a bit hotter due to the increased per-phase load.
This white iCraft Z790 also packs four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, one PCIe 5.0 x16 for graphics, two PCIe 3.0 x4, plus two PCIe 3.0 x1, with memory support up to DDR5-7600 facilitated by XMP 3.0.
Going hand-in-hand with its 400W Core i9 overclocking claims, the board also features physical power/reset, a clear CMOS button, and most importantly an LED display for debugging purposes.
Lastly, when it comes to I/O, we know this board includes at least dual 20Gb/s USB Type-C ports, 2.5GbE LAN, and Wi-Fi 6E. While the rest is unclear at this point, we expect to see a bunch of USB 3.2 Gen 1 plus some USB 2.0 ports, alongside Bluetooth 5.3 and the customary video outputs.
The iCraft Z790 white is scheduled to hit US retail this October at $299, with global availability expected to follow soon after.
