That’s comfortably the lowest price we’ve ever seen for one of the finest eight-core chips of the previous generation. US pricing is similarly tempting, with a $12.38 coupon bringing total cost down to $169 at the time of writing. Another all-time low.
While newer models are now available, increased competition has forced prices on recent processors to drop dramatically. Ryzen 7 5700X, a 2020 chip, is built on a mature 7nm process and offers a stellar mix of performance and efficiency. Eight cores and 16 threads hit up to 4.7GHz, all wrapped neatly inside a manageable 65W TDP.
At this price point, the CPU continues to offer genuine attraction on a long-standing AM4 platform. There’s no shortage of compatible boards out there, and with the low cost of memory and SSD storage, it’s more affordable than ever to put together the foundations of a potent PC build.
