It’s that time of year again, where companies take to Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to unveil their latest and greatest tech. Since AMD is a mainstay for the event, it has another press conference in the books for CES 2024. Of course, we’ll cover it alongside other presentations, but you can watch it all unfold yourself via livestream.
How to watch
AMD’s CES press conference kicks off at 7:00 PST / 10:00 EST / 13:00 GMT on January 8. CEO Dr. Lisa Su will take to the stage with Senior Vice President Jack Huynh to talk about Team Red’s latest advancements with AI and how it could benefit you.
The landing page describes it as “end-to-end infrastructure that will define the AI era, from cloud installations to enterprise clusters, AI-enabled intelligent embedded devices and PCs.” In all likelihood, the new developments will probably be an Intel Core Ultra rival, focussing on efficiency.
You can tune in over on the AMD website, and even add it to your calendar as a reminder. You’ll probably be able to catch it all on Twitch and YouTube, with VODs to follow once the presentation’s done.
What was last year?
After cancelling the year before, CES 2023 was a fairly big one for AMD. It piggybacked off the event to launch Ryzen 7950X3D, 7900X3D, and 7800X3D. Each CPU carries bolstered 3D V-Cache, making them some of the best CPUs for gaming.
Notebooks also got a few new mobile graphics cards, including the entry-level Radeon RX 7700S and 7600S and high-end Radeon RX 7600M XT and 7600M.
Hopefully, this year will follow suit with some great tech.
