Nvidia may have delayed the release of its unified driver app until 2025. The brand is seemingly launching it alongside next-gen GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards as a complete solution.
According to kopite7kimi on X, the brand will officially release the so-called Nvidia App together with the upcoming GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. The Nvidia App is Team Green’s unified solution for all things GeForce-related. Instead of having one program for driver controls, and another for video recording/stream plus game optimisation, all features will now be inside the same piece of software.
Previously, it was planned that the Nvidia App would replace GeForce Experience plus the old Control Panel by the end of the year. The target seems to have changed since the RTX 50 GPUs are currently expected in January 2025 at the earliest. This should give the dev team more time to add more features while ironing out any remaining bugs. In fact, the company has put a call out for users to submit feedback regarding their most wanted features.
Aside from the unification of all settings inside a single software, the Nvidia App also brings some nice quality-of-life changes. For starters, the interface is far more modern, especially with the old control panel resembling Windows XP long gone. But most importantly, you no longer need an online account to access some features. At last, Nvidia is catching its competitors in this regard.
Moreover, the Nvidia App lets you discover creator tools like Nvidia Broadcast, Canvas, and ICAT, at a glance. Lastly, while it is unclear if the professional Quadro GPUs will get the same treatment, mobile GeForce products are supported by the new version.
