Get Monster Hunter Wilds free with AMD Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs

Most of AMD's current generation Ryzen and Radeon offerings now come with free copies of Monster Hunter Wilds, alongside select prebuilt systems and gaming laptops too.

Here’s some news that’ll whet the appetites of Monster Hunter fans as much as one of Meowscular Chef’s delicious dishes. AMD is teaming up with Capcom to bundle free copies of Monster Hunter Wilds with Ryzen CPUs and Radeon graphics cards.

The promotion begins today, February 25, not long before Monster Hunter Wilds launches. It’ll run until April 26, but you’ll have all the way up until May 24 to redeem your AMD coupon code.

Almost all of AMD’s current generation Radeon stack qualify for the promotion. If you fancy a new CPU instead, many processors across AMD’s Ryzen 7000 and 9000 Series will net you a coupon code. Unfortunately, the company’s X3D SKUs are not eligible.

Here’s the full list of qualifying components with links to reviews or pieces pertaining to performance:

CPUsGPUs
Ryzen 9 9950XRadeon RX 7900 XTX
Ryzen 9 9900XRadeon RX 7900 XT
Ryzen 7 9700XRadeon RX 7800 XT
Ryzen 5 9600XRadeon RX 7700 XT
Ryzen 9 7950X
Ryzen 9 7900X
Ryzen 7 7700X
Ryzen 7 7700

If you’re not sure which CPU or GPU to opt for, you thankfully don’t need to spend much at all to get Capcom’s RPG running. In fact, the Monster Hunter Wilds system requirements only call for Ryzen 7 7700 and Radeon RX 7800 XT to run the game at 4K (with upscaling and frame generation). Naturally, the more-expensive and more-powerful components will net better performance.

In place of individual components, you can opt for gaming laptops and systems featuring Ryzen processors and/or Radeon graphics cards instead. Whatever your preference, though, make sure to check AMD’s promotional page to find participating retailers in your region.

While there’s little danger of facing buyer’s remorse with a Ryzen CPU, I’d advise holding off grabbing an eligible GPU you can afford to wait. AMD will soon reveal more details about its Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics cards, which could affect the price of current generation stock. At the very least, it’s worth knowing how much further your cash could go even if it means unfortunately skipping this bundle.

I recommend checking out all reviews and supporting content we have on the qualifying products listed above before making any purchases, just follow the hyperlinks. You can expect more CPU and GPU content from Club386 over the coming weeks as AMD and Nvidia unleash their latest and greatest, so be sure to follow the site on Google News to stay in the loop.
