Asus ProArt Display gets new 5K, QD-OLED, and 8K monitors

4K, 5K, 8K, ProArt Displays, oh my.

At Computex 2024, Asus is further expanding its ProArt Display series with a brand-new 5K monitor, 5K PA27JCV. Additionally, the company is releasing two previously announced displays, PA32KCX and OLED PA32UCDM.

All three displays should rank among the best monitors for creatives and professionals thanks to their colour accuracy. Through its calibration process, Asus claims 5K PA27JCV boasts an average Delta-E of less than 2. More impressively though, both PA32KCX and OLED PA32UCDM go one step further with an average Delta-E of less than 1.

While all of the new ProArt Display monitors sport stellar colour accuracy, they better differentiate themselves through their resolution, size, and HDR capabilities. For example, the new 5K PA27JCV uses an 27in IPS panel with no local dimming, making it best suited to those working with SDR workflows that benefit from its 5K resolution. This screen size and resolution combo net it a pixels-per-inch (PPI) of 218, a 1.34x increase compared to 27in 4K models.

Meanwhile, OLED PA32UCDM and PA32KCX each support HLG and HDR10 formats, making them ideal for those working with high-dynamic range content. OLED PA32UCDM features a 32in QD-OLED panel and a 4K resolution, with per-pixel local dimming, for rich contrast and no backlight bleed. However, PA32KCX is an altogether sharper and brighter beast, with an 8K resolution, 1,200nits peak brightness, and a whopping 4,096 dimming zones.

Asus is yet to provide pricing for any of these ProArt Display models, but given their cutting-edge specifications we doubt they’ll be on the affordable side. Still, we expect to hear more details from the company, including a full specs sheet with ports soon.
