be quiet! introduces affordable System Power 10 Series PSUs with up to 850W capacity

Nearly 10W per £ from a reputable brand.

German manufacturer be quiet! has announced two new series of power supplies for budget-conscious shoppers, featuring capacities ranging from 450W up to 850W with 80 Plus Gold and Bronze certifications.

System Power 10 and System Power 10 U series are successors to System Power 9, albeit with useful upgrades. Now for the first time, there are 750W and 850W capacities, the latter certified 80 Plus Gold, which is unique to this specific model.

The remainder are all certified 80 Plus Bronze. System Power 10 range starts at a low price of £46.99 without skimping on build quality, or as be quiet! puts it: “small reliable and equipped with all the essentials you really need.”

All models are cooled by a 120mm fan, with the 850W variant receiving noise-optimised fan blades. The 850W also gets two 12V rails, an advanced LLC, SR, and DC-to-DC topology for advanced stability and voltage regulation, plus a 100,000-hour average lifetime at 25°C. All in a small footprint of 160mm (L) x 150mm (W) x 86mm (H).

The remaining capacities of 750W, 650W, 550W, and 450W measure 140mm (L) x 150mm (W) x 86mm (H) and as mentioned previously, are limited to 80 Plus Bronze certification. They all offer up to four 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors. Note that the U series doesn’t include a 450W model, but unlike the non-U (200V to 240V), they handle all mains voltages (100V to 240V) and therefore can be used in countries like the US. We guess the U stands for universal.

Finally, the entire line-up has a very low standby consumption of 0.15W alongside active PFC (Power Factor Correction) sitting at 0.97+ at 100 per cent load. As usual, many safety protections are integrated, including OCP, OVP, OPP, SCP, UVP, and OTP.
