Being a recent WiFi 7 convert, I’ve found a lot to love about the new wireless standard. I haven’t seen a single bit of buffering where there otherwise would be hiccups and MLO (Multi-Link Operation) makes connecting to 2.4GHz devices such as RGB lights, security cameras, and printers that much easier with simultaneous frequencies operating at once.

Admittedly, the price of WiFi 7 routers is enough to make anyone think twice before hopping aboard, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Asus has two major deals worth considering, taking up to 18% off its base model.

Boasting dual-band WiFi 7 technology, you can achieve blazing-faster speeds up to 3,600Mb/s, ensuring seamless streaming, gaming, and workloads.

Asus RT-BE58U WiFi 7 AiMesh is currently down to $140 on Amazon, marking the cheapest the router has ever been. This discount is exclusive to the US, but it’s fairly affordable at its standard £166 in the UK.

Such a reasonable price makes the new standard far more accessible and the router doesn’t skimp on features to reach the new low. It still houses a 2.5G WAN/LAN port for those all-important high-speed wired connections, alongside three 1G ports for the rest of the network. There’s even a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port that you can use with cellular modems, external SSDs, or directly connecting your printer.

This particular model doesn’t have access to the 6GHz band, but enhancements to the 5GHz frequencies mark a substantial performance jump over WiFi 6 and 6E. It uses advanced 160MHz channels and 4,096-QAM modulation, and Beamforming to better direct signals to their intended destination without interruption or diversion.

It should cover a standard household well, but you have the option to extend it with AiMesh if you need a larger range. Asus’s feature lets you link several compatible devices into one mesh solution, each acting as both a primary device and access point simultaneously. And, at this price, you could consider two.

Comprehensive connectivity led by dual 10G ports and blistering 7,200Mb/s speeds promise uninterrupted binge-watching during the latest releases.

If the gold accents don’t tip you off, Asus RT-BE88U WiFi 7 AiMesh router is a step up from its little brother, packing all the same features but with far greater speeds. Wireless connections run up to double the frequencies at 7,200Mb/s and its array of ports puts most other devices to shame. Dual 10G, four 2.5G, and four 1G ports combine for up to 34 Gigabit WAN and LAN capacity.

This unrivalled flexibility currently comes with up to 24% off if you know where to look. The router has plummeted down to $320 in the US, and reaches lows of €348 throughout Europe.

Both devices are limited-time deals, so don’t expect them to hang around for long. Fortunately, each purchases comes with a 30-day guarantee (14 days in parts of Europe), allowing you to claim a full refund within the first month of receipt if you’re not happy.
