Chinese retailer lists concerning Nvidia RTX 5060 12GB graphics card prices

Based on this, RTX 5060 may be hard to recommend over RTX 5070.

Chinese retailer listings show an unexpected Nvidia RTX 5060 memory configuration that could hint at further segmentation of Team Green’s lower-tier products. In addition to the 8GB options, we may also get 12GB cards.

Folks at VideoCardz managed to obtain a screenshot of a presumed Chinese retailer listing Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. In it, we can see the brand’s cheapest mid-range offerings yet, coming at the following prices:

  • RTX 5070 at ¥4,599 (£491)
  • RTX 5060 Ti at ¥4,299 (£459)
  • RTX 5060 12GB at ¥3,799 (£405)

Compared to the current Nvidia RTX 50 Series stack, RTX 5060 Ti would come ¥300 or 6.5% cheaper than RTX 5070, followed by RTX 5060 with a ¥500 or 11.6% discount over RTX 5060 Ti.

Examining currently released SKUs such as RTX 5070, UK MSRP is close to the Chinese retailer’s asking, meaning there might be merit to these listings. That said, it’s not a very exciting prospect based on RTX 5060 Series leaked specs. Trading 37% of the CUDA cores – and thus performance – for a £130-ish savings certainly raises an eyebrow. Not to forget how recommended retail prices have been discarded shortly after launch with every recent release, causing noticeable inflations reaching 40% over MSRP. But again, these could simply be placeholders, so take them with a grain of salt.

Interestingly, unless Nvidia plans two variants of RTX 5060, this listing would contradict previous rumours regarding this model’s specs. In these, RTX 5060 is said to feature 8GB of GDDR7 memory on a 128-bit bus. 12GB should still be possible with this bus width using 3GB memory chips. This would give the 60-class card more VRAM than the second RTX 5060 Ti, which is expected to pack 8GB of GDDR7 for those who don’t need the full RTX 5060 Ti 16GB variant.

We may learn more about these lower-end Blackwell cards in a couple of days during the GTC, so stay tuned. The £400 to £600 range seems to be in fashion this generation, so hopefully, prices will come back to their senses soon.
