Chinese manufacturer Colorful has unveiled a new white-themed ATX motherboard featuring DDR5 memory.
Dubbed iGame Z690D5 Ultra, this board is based on Intel’s Z690 chipset and is aimed toward gamers and content creators seeking lots of power alongside a unique aesthetic. To achieve that, Colorful opted for a massive 18+1 phase power delivery system using 90A DrMOS alongside four DDR5 DIMMs capable of supporting up to 128GB of memory at 6,200MT/s.
Colorful hasn’t included any PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, opting instead to stick with tried-and-trusted PCIe 4.0 interfaces. Not to worry as PCIe 5.0 products are still some way from mainstream, and there’s a decent amount of expansion opportunity to play with. iGame Z690D5 Ultra touts two PCIe 4.0 x16 (x16 in single card mode, or x8 each in dual card mode), two PCIe 3.0 x1 plus one PCIe 3.0 x4.
Storage is covered by three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 plus 6 SATA 6Gb/s ports and in terms of connectivity, we have one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB 2.0, an HDMI, a DisplayPort, 2.5Gb/s Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. Not to forget the eight-channel audio system.
Finally, the board also includes three 5V 3-pin aRGB headers, two 12V 4-pin RGB headers, two 4-pin CPU fan headers, three 4-pin system fan headers and one 4-pin AIO pump header.
Feeling the urge to build a snow-themed rig? The Colorful iGame Z690D5 Ultra motherboard will start shipping this month for $289 MSRP. UK pricing or availability is yet to be disclosed.
