If you’ve been building PCs as long as I have, you’ll have accrued a set of trusty components that have travelled with you across builds and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future (compatibility willing). While a relatively new addition to my roster, Corsair’s iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT serves me just as well today as it did across a plethora of processors across the years. So, as it’s now available with a discount for Prime Day, it comes all the more thoroughly recommended.
iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT is available for just $181.99, down from its MSRP of $229.99, netting you a saving of 21% ($48). Strangely, this offer only applies to the white version of the cooler, but there’s an alternative if you’re after something stealthier. iCUE H150i Elite LCD XT is practically the same cooler, the only difference being the addition of a screen in place of a plastic cover. Naturally, it’s more expensive at $230.99, but this is down from $289.99, meaning you’ll save $59 (20%) at this promotional price.

I’ve put iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT up against the best CPUs from both AMD and Intel. Right now, it’s cooling my Ryzen 7 7800X3D with ease, peaking at a mere 70°C while running Cinebench R23. With a Core i9 14900K under it, things naturally got toastier at 90°C, but that’s still an impressive result for the cooler, given how unruly that Raptor Lake chip is. Suffice it to say its 360mm radiator and three AF120 RGB Elite fans will do an excellent job regardless of what processor you throw at it and look good doing it, too.
Both iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT and LCD XT are compatible with a wide variety of sockets going as far back as LGA 1156 and AM4. So, whether you’re planning a whole new build or fancy a fresh cooler for an ageing rig, it should slide into most systems with minimal fuss. It even comes bundled with an iCUE Commander Core RGB lighting and fan controller, so you can maintain a tidy case and easily address its colours and cooling.
