Corsair launched its cheapest daisy-chainable fan series yet

Keeping it simple.

Corsair has released its cheapest fan series yet with daisy-chainable power and ARGB connectors. This lineup should deliver good performance without cost-inflating features.

The RS fan series is available in 120mm or 140mm sizes, tinted in black or white, depending on your needs. It also comes in basic or ARGB variants, offering more choice. The white ARGB models are quite nice if you care about aesthetics. These are the same fans offered with the brand’s 3500X series chassis.

According to Corsair, it designed the fan housing to support the largest blade radius possible to optimise airflow and static pressure. This allows them to be effective on both chassis and radiators. Meanwhile, the motor uses a magnetic dome bearing, which minimises friction and noise, all while improving the fan’s longevity.

Talking of which, Corsair claims from ten to 36 dBA of noise when rotating between 420 and 2,100rpm. Depending on speed, these fans can deliver from 13.3 to 72.8cfm of airflow and 0.2 to 4.15mmH2O of static pressure. Additionally, these blowers support a zero-rpm mode giving you complete silence when idling. The latter could also save you a couple of pennies on your power bill.

If you are looking for something a bit flashy, for an extra 33% in price you can get the ARGB variants. These boast eight addressable LEDs letting you glow your setup however you like.

Being affordable doesn’t mean leaving quality-of-life features on the sidewalk either as Corsair implemented daisy-chainable power and ARGB cables. Yes, they are less fancy than their iCUE Link counterparts, but they have the advantage of being compatible with your motherboard’s PWM and ARGB headers.
