Corsair has launched a new line of affordable panoramic PC cases, the 3500X series. There are three versions and two colours to choose from, but all are undoubtedly stylish to our eyes.
Each case in the 3500X series share the same dimensions, measuring in at 460 x 240 x 506mm (L x W x H), and a dual glass panel design offering an unobstructed view of your hardware. They also supports BTF and Project Zero motherboards, for an even cleaner finish to builds inside them.
Corsair offers three variants of the 3500X, a barebone model with no fans, an ARGB one with three pre-installed RS120 fans, and a fancy iCUE Link version with three RX120 fans. Each one of these will be available in black or white – including the fans – to suit your build. As you can guess there is quite a price difference between each SKU, but the former comes fairly cheap if you already own some blowers.
In terms of compatibility, the 3500X has enough room for E-ATX motherboards, 410mm long graphics cards, 170mm tall CPU coolers, 180mm PSUs, and up to 360mm liquid cooling radiators. The latter can be installed either on the top or the side, or swapped for fans if you prefer air cooling. In this instance, you will find space for up to ten 120mm or five 140mm fans. Corsair says each case also supports its H60, H100, H115, and H150 liquid coolers series. So, plenty of cooling for your hardware.
Lastly, I/O includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, alongside a single USB 3.2 Gen Type-C port and combo audio jack.
Taken as I am with the design of the 3500X series, I would love to see Corsair make a panoramic case with curved glass. Or, at the very least, a chassis with a third piece of glass, as seen on the likes of Hyte Y60, rather than the two panes here. However, this would definitely push it well over the affordable price point that the company has welcomingly established here.
The 3500X series will be available in Q3 2024, via Corsair’s store and retailer partners, backed by a two-year warranty. Prices start from £84.99 ($89.99) for the base unit, with 3500X ARGB and iCUE LINK 3500X RGB costing £119.99 ($109.99) and £169.99 ($149.99), respectively.
