With AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs coming out next month, it might seem like an odd choice to look back at the soon-to-be previous generation. These new processors are fantastic news for your bank account, however, as Ryzen 9 7950X3D spirals down to the lowest price we’ve seen yet.

The 16-core, 32-thread chip is down to £473 at Amazon UK, a far cry from the £749 launch price just last year. It’s just as stellar of a deal in the US, where Ryzen 9 7950X3D is 30% cheaper at $492. We’ve not seen a better price in either region, making it one to grab while you can.

Team Red has already admitted that its new series can’t outperform the current Ryzen X3D models on the market, and 7950X3D sits at the top of the stack. With up to 5.7GHz at 120W, the 16-core configuration enables outstanding productivity, and 128MB L3 cache makes it a gaming powerhouse, too.

You can see for yourself in our AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D review from February 2023 just how much is blazes past its rivals. It even beats Intel Core i9-14900K in some titles despite Team Blue’s latest and greatest being eight months newer. The numbers don’t lie.

Fortunately, upgrading now isn’t a waste of money, either. Ryzen 9 7950X3D is based on the AM5 chipset, which AMD has pledged to keep ticking until at least 2027, if not beyond. This gives you the option to upgrade to a 9000X3D CPU when they eventually come out or wait for whatever comes next, and you won’t need to upgrade your motherboard again.

As usual, you don’t just need to take our word for it. Since this discount is on Amazon, you can try it out for yourself and use the retailer’s 30-day return window to get a full refund if you’re not happy.
