Deal of the day: get 11% off a personal mini fridge

Cold cans at an arm's reach.

Euhomy 55-can mini fridge.

Whether it’s unbelievably lazy or incredibly efficient, I don’t go a day without using my mini fridge. After all, my chair swivels for a reason, and what better way to use it than to grab a drink? With a new deal, you could have your own chiller primed and ready to cool your consumables.

Amazon US is currently holding limited-time deal on Euhomy mini fridges, giving you 1.3ft³ for just $128.99. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen it. The same cooler is down to £144.50 in the UK, but there are only three remaining at the time of writing.

Measuring 16.9×17.3×16.3 inches (DxWxH), it’ll fit under all desks with room to spare. It only has one shelf but fits up to 55 cans or 12 bottles lying down. With a reversible door, you can stick it anywhere comfortably without struggling to get in. A blue LED rounds off the feature set nicely, so you don’t end up grabbing the wrong drink in the dark.

Cooling is obviously the priority of a mini fridge. You want it to strike a balance between chilling your drinks without freezing them. Euhomy offers seven settings ranging from 45°F (7.7°C) down to 29°F (-1.6°C). While your instinct is likely to go right to the coldest setting possible, this will entirely depend on how much you fill the machine.

Noise is another factor, as there’s no way around the R600a compressor humming away. Fortunately, the brand rates it at 40dB or less, which is quieter than most CPU coolers we test. You’ll hear the lightest purr if you’re sitting in silence and nothing at all when you’re gaming.

Admittedly, it is in energy class F, which isn’t the most efficient, but this is par for the course with mini fridges. At between 53KWh and 73KWh, it’ll cost you roughly $0.08 per day, equivalent to $30 per year.

Euhomy provides 24-hour support and a year after-sales service just in case. Since this comes from Amazon, you also have the luxury of the world’s biggest retailer. this means you can send it back within the first month if you’re not happy with your purchase, no strings attached.
