It feels as though Amazon Prime Day came and went quicker than you can blink, but the season of discounts has only just begun. Much like AirPods Max, which are still reduced by the way, Apple’s third-gen wireless buds are also at an all-time low.

Amazon US has taken an axe to the 3rd Gen Apple AirPods, chopping 29% off its total price and bringing it down to $119.99 on Amazon US. On top of saving you $50, this is the first time it’s ever been this cheap.

Deals across Europe are consistently around 90% of their going rate, sitting between €178.90 and €195 depending on the country. You can find out more by clicking on the widget below. Heads up to our friends in Blighty, Amazon UK currently lists it as full-price at £146.34, but this is just a few quid above its best discount, which we haven’t seen since February.

As third-generation AirPods, they notably have an open-bud design rather than in-ears. With an improved fit, they’re my personal preference since I’m not a huge fan of cramming squishy rubber or foam tips into my lugholes. Naturally, this comes at the expense of active noise-cancelling, but the dynamic head tracking with spatial audio more than makes up for it.

You’ll get up to six hours out of each charge, combined with another 30 hours in the Lightning charging case. I know, I wish it was USB-C, too. Still, five minutes of charging will give you another hour to chat or listen. Much of its efficiency comes from the fact it has the same Apple H1 chip as AirPods Max, albeit just the one.

Siri is always on, giving you voice commands on the go. It’ll also weather the storm, so to speak, with an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating. It’s not quite enough to go swimming, but plenty capable if you’re jogging around.

I’ve only just upgraded to my very first iPhone, but I have plenty of experience with earbuds. From Samsung Galaxy Buds and Buds 2 Pro to Sony’s WF-1000XM3 to 5, I’ve tested a fair few. It’s been a pleasure to revert back to a silicon-less design without sacrificing the sound profile.

This is a limited deal, so don’t spend too long deliberating. And hey, if you’re not happy, you can always return them. The retailer has a 30-day policy that lets you send items back if you’re not satisfied with your purchase. It’s the main benefit of shopping with Amazon.

For now, I’ll keep hunting around for top tech deals. All you need to do is bookmark our deals page or follow us on socials like X or Facebook to stay in the loop. We even have a free weekly newsletter where we’ll send some directly to you.
