Powerful PCs make all the difference when it comes to making your favourite games look and run their best, but all that performance might as well be for naught if your audio isn’t up to scratch. Wireless headsets have come a long way in recent years, both in terms of build and sound quality. Corsair’s Virtuoso Max is an excellent example of this growth, offering one of the most-premium audio solutions on the market. If that sounds good already, you’ll be all the more pleased to hear that it’s now available with a steep discount too.

Virtuoso Max
“Virtuoso Max harnesses the passion of audio experts and the power of cutting-edge technology to produce immersive acoustics across multiple platforms.” – Corsair
On Amazon US, you’ll find Virtuoso Max in both black and white with an 18% ($60) discount, bringing the headset’s cost down to $269.99. UK shoppers can join in on this deal too but the amount you’ll pay will depend on your choice of colour. The black model will set you back £262.26, netting you a 6% (£17.73) discount, while white arrives with a steeper 14% saving (£40) and a more affordable £239.99. Regardless of where you shop and which colourway you choose, these are the lowest prices ever for Corsair’s cans.
Virtuoso Max is Corsair’s flagship wireless headset, carrying all the niceties one would expect from a premium pair of headphones and more. It boasts 50mm graphene drivers in a closed-back setup, providing it with a fun and punchy sound signature. Speaking from experience, it’s difficult to go without graphene once you’ve had the pleasure of trying it. All frequencies benefit from the material but bass in particular is less prone to distortion making for a tighter listening experience.
Lovely as Virtuoso Max is to listen to, it’s easy on the eyes too thanks to its aesthetic design and build quality. Metals make up the majority of its construction, including its various buttons, save for a few traces of plastic. Disable the built-in RGB and detach its microphone and you have a swish-looking headset that can easily pass for a pair of headphones out in public. I’m particularly fond of is volume controls which surround each earcup, one for Bluetooth the other for 2.4GHz.
Simultaneous wireless connections is undoubtedly a boon of Virtuoso Max but it’s important to note that Bluetooth and 2.4GHz are its only forms of connectivity. While the headset does feature a Type-C port its only use is to juice up the device’s battery. Thankfully, Corsair claims that you can expect up to 60hrs of playback from a single charge which is plenty providing you maintain a disciplined charging routine.
Corsair further boosts Virtuoso Max’s value with features like active noise cancelling (ANC). This is less useful in a gaming environment, unless your setup is somewhere particularly noisy but will help keep distractions at bay while you’re out and about. Conversely, if you need to listen to the outside world while you game then the headset also comes with a transparency mode too.
