Intel Arc B570 specs show a slightly smaller GPU with 10GB VRAM

Could become to go-to for budget gamers.

ASRock’s Challenger graphics card slides have made it out into the wild, giving us a closer look at Intel Arc B570 GPU specs. The new Battlemage chip is expected to offer slightly less Xe cores and VRAM compared to B580.

The model in question is an Arc B570 Challenger OC from ASRock, featuring 10GB of 19Gbps GDDR6 memory linked via a 160-bit bus. This should result in a respectable 380GB/s bandwidth, offering good price/performance value. While the brand didn’t confirm if this is a G21 GPU as rumoured before, it indicated that it packs 18 Xe2 cores as expected. These are clocked up to 2.6GHz, i.e. 200MHz lower than B580.

Roughly speaking, B570 should be around 12% to 15% slower than B580 when factoring in the core and bandwidth reductions. Though the latest rumours claim these GPUs are around the performance of an RTX 4060 Ti, if we take the previously whispered RX 7600 XT target, the B570 should sit instead closer to an RTX 4060. In any case, these Battlemage GPUs seem destined for the mid-range with a focus on value.

As our Palit GeForce RTX 4060 Dual review indicates, 1440p resolution isn’t off the table, but 1080p is likely the main performance target. Naturally, 10GB of video memory will struggle with anything greater, particularly if you pop HD textures on top. Still, if Intel sticks the right price on top and debuts with good driver support, it could give AMD and Nvidia a run for their money.

Design-wise, this Challenger model seems to use the same cooler as B580 Challenger, which was previously spotted on Amazon. This isn’t particularly surprising considering Intel wants to keep prices trim. Reusing similar chassis should keep manufacturing costs down, although it could make it difficult telling the two apart.

By the looks of things, you’ll get a dual-slot dual-fan card measuring 249mm x 132mm x 41mm and weighing 720g, powered by a single 8-pin power connector. Same for I/O, you get three DisplayPort 2.1 plus one HDMI 2.1. Lastly, the ASRock B580 Challenger OC is expected to connect via a PCIe Gen 4 x8 interface.

Both the B580 and B570 chips are expected to be unveiled by Intel on December 3, followed by reviews and availability on December 12. So, Stay tuned.
