Intel Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4090 for Arc and Iris GPUs remedies some issues, bugs remain

iGPUs are getting love too.

Intel has announced version 31.0.101.4090 of its graphics drivers, this time also fixing some issues on Core series processors’ integrated GPU.

This 1.2GB chunk of data adds support for newly-released Forspoken, fixes some freezes and crashes in A Plague Tale: Requiem, and repairs corruptions in Need for Speed: Unbound for Arc-based GPUs. For Iris iGPUs, the driver irons out some intermittent crashes in Total War: Warhammer III, and colour corruption in Need for Speed Unbound plus Battlefield: 2042.

Unfortunately, a wide range of problems are still popping up on Arc graphics cards due to their younger age, from which we note – a system hang while waking up from sleep mode, Arc Control Studio Camera losing its set position after system restart, and the unavailability of hardware acceleration on Adobe Premiere Pro. The latter is very much annoying since many took the risk of switching to Team Blue to be for AV1 encoding alongside the usual H.264 at low prices.

The full list of changes is as follows:
