At every event, InWin arrives with a range of enticing new PC cases. CES had ModFree Mini, and this Computex is no different. After ruminating on designs for a couple of years, you can now feast your eyes on the gorgeous 11th Signature Series entry: InWin Infinite.
Not to be confused with InWin 805 Infinity, which featured a swanky infinity mirror front panel, InWin Infinite is decidedly sleeker. The gold aluminium frame combined with a huge 180-degree curved glass panel blends the best of an open chassis with a panoramic view.
It’s several degrees more practical than InWin Diéy, the 10th Signature Series model that debuted at CES 2020. This one will at least fit on your desk – mostly. It’s still beefy enough to house any motherboard you fancy, from Mini-ITX to E-ATX. As is the trend with new designs, it even supports backside connectors from MSI Project Zero, Gigabyte Stealth, and Asus BTF series.
The stand also takes up more than its fair share of space, but there’s a reason. The cradle, which reminds me of a baby’s bassinet stand, is motorised, automatically tilting the case one way and the tempered glass the opposite. I’m not sure whether I feel this idea makes DIY building easier or much more difficult, but it looks a treat in action.
Front I/O, which should perhaps be called a side I/O in this case, features a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and HD audio combo ports. Expansions include seven PCIe slots and dual 2.5in internal drive bays. And cooling sounds just fine with enough room to stick up to a 360mm radiator at the front and four 120mm fans dotted around the chassis.
Currently, I don’t know when InWin release the PC or how much it’ll cost, although I imagine it’ll certainly dent your bank account. Much like previous entries in the series, this is an extremely limited edition. The brand tells us it might not make more than 50 for the entire globe. Needless to say, if you want one, keep your eyes peeled and put in an order as soon as you can.
Without even knowing the price, I just know this thing is out of my budget. Even MSI MEG Vision X AI looks too rich for my taste. Instead, I’m eyeing up be quiet Light Base or Fractal’s Mood and Era 2 cases to start a new system.
