Limited Edition Intel Arc B580 prices undercut Radeon RX 7600 XT

Intel targets smaller budgets first.

An Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition graphics card has been spotted at different online shops. Price varies between each store, but the consensus seems to be around $250.

Spotted by @momomo_us on X, the first Battlemage GPU to see the light of day is likely Arc B580. Shopping listings place the graphics card between $246 and $373.87, but thankfully most skew towards the cheaper end. Given recent performance rumours suggest it’ll hover around an RX 7600 XT, the cost doesn’t sound too farfetched.

Note that these prices are not related to the recent ASRock Arc B580 Steel Legend and Challenger listing leaks. This time, it seems we are in front of Intel’s Limited Edition design, which is equivalent to Nvidia’s Founders Edition or AMD’s reference cards. Arc Alchemist models proved that Team Blue can build units just as well as its competitors, and hopefully Battlemage will be no different. I especially liked the subtle LED strip around the fan rings.

Looks aside, the Arc B580 GPU should lead Battlemage into war sometime this year. If whispers are correct, this new mid-ranger could beat Intel’s last-gen flagship, the Arc A770. We surely hope so to keep competition going. At $250, B580 should at least match the RX 7600 XT to be worth considering.

Compared to its Arc A580 predecessor, B580 is coming at a noticeable price hike. For reference, the former debuted at $179 MSRP, making for a 40% increase this time around. Though, if performance is on the rendezvous, this won’t be an issue. With that in mind, Intel has yet to officially announce this GPU, so the aforementioned prices could simply be placeholders.

In any case, Arc B580 cards are expected to pack the G21 GPU featuring 20 Xe2 cores clocked at 2.8GHz, alongside 12GB of 19Gbps GDDR6 memory running on a 192-bit bus. While some aspects such as the total memory bandwidth and Xe core count seem lower than the A580, the high frequency and architectural improvements could counter that. In the end, it’s real-world performance that counts, so if Battlemage delivers, everyone will be happy.
