MSI has announced several AI gaming and business laptops featuring the latest Intel and AMD processors. These next-gen machines boast some of the best computing power we’ve seen yet to unlock more artificial intelligence capabilities.
For its AI revolution, MSI has planned several laptop series. The Prestige and Summit ranges are aimed at businesses and are powered by Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra CPUs. Stealth and Creator offer lightweight gaming and creative work powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPUs. Stealth Mercedes-AMG Motorsport acts as a luxury model for car enthusiasts. Lastly, the Modern series is for professionals and students who prioritise mobility.
According to MSI, these laptops offer over 100 TOPS of AI computing power and support more than 500 AI models. You can further improve the performance up to 542 TOPS on laptops equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX GPUs. All of this is inside slim and modern chassis.
MSI Prestige and Summit laptops
The Prestige and Summit series covers the business and productivity segment, offering more than 100 TOPS of AI performance when combining the capacities of the CPU, iGPU, and NPU. MSI claims that this series boasts excellent energy efficiency thanks to Intel’s Lunar Lake Core Ultra processors, all while being optimised for over 500 AI models.
The Prestige lineup will come in three sizes, 13in, 14in, and 16in, packing large batteries – 75Wh on the Prestige 13 AI+ Evo – inside an ultra-light 990g body. The Summit on the other hand features a flip laptop design and a stylus supporting MPP 2.6 technology.
MSI Stealth and Creator gaming laptops
The Stealth and Creator series targets gamers and content creators, powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 CPUs. The latter packs up to 12 Zen 5 cores alongside 50% more memory compared to the previous generation, with the new XDNA 2 architecture delivering up to three times the AI computing power. For gaming, the integrated Radeon 800M GPU should offer up to 33% higher graphic performance without draining the battery. Talking of which, MSI fitted these with an 82Wh battery.
Meanwhile, those who want to run demanding games will have Nvidia’s RTX 4000 GPUs backing them up. You can even accelerate AI performance using Nvidia’s Tensor Cores. Stealth A16 AI+ and Creator A16 AI+ will feature the brand’s Cooler Boost 5 cooling solution and a lightweight magnesium-aluminium body.
MSI Stealth Mercedes luxury laptops
As Stealth 18 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport imply, these models are made in collaboration with the car maker Mercedes-AMG. Both are aimed at car enthusiasts with their high performance and luxurious lightweight magnesium-aluminium frame. The Mercedes-AMG lineup will be powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 185H processor and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4080 graphics chips, cooled by a large vapour chamber to ensure optimum performance under load.
Both the 18in and 16in versions come equipped with up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM plus a 99.9Wh battery. You will also find modern connectivity such as Thunderbolt 4 and 2.5GbE LAN, not to forget Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The main difference between the two are the screens. Aside from size, Stealth 18 packs a 3840×2400 Mini-LED panel running at 120Hz, while Stealth 16 runs a 2560×1600 240Hz OLED.
MSI Modern laptops
Lastly, the Modern series is made for professionals and students focusing on transportability. It is available in 13-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch formats. The range’s claim to fame comes from its comfortable keyboards and rich connectivity options. For instance, the line-up features a full-sized RJ45 port to ensure a stable and uninterrupted connection, which is important when you have meetings and deadlines.
MSI didn’t share pricing for these products, but you can expect them to replace existing models, maybe with a slight premium for the AI badge.
