Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is sold out and new stock could take over a month to arrive

A six week wait time potentially lies before would-be buyers of GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.

Here today, gone within minutes. This feeling is becoming uncomfortably familiar with each passing release of GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, with RTX 5070 Ti serving as the most recent example. It’s currently impossible to purchase the card from retailers, one of which claims that it could take over a month before it receives more stock.

A few hours after its supply of GeForce RTX 5070 Ti ran dry, Overclockers UK provided a stock update to its customers via a blog post. While pre-orders for the pixel pusher remain open, the store says it will take “2-6 weeks” before more cards pass through its warehouse. This means potential buyers face a worst case scenario of waiting until early April before they can make a purchase.

Availability of GeForce RTX 5080, though, thankfully seems to be on the mend. As part of the update, Overclockers UK says the card remains sold out but “limited stock [is] arriving weekly, with ETAs ranging between 1-3 weeks. Meanwhile, things are far less rosy for RTX 5090, with the store accepting no new orders and fulfilment potentially taking up to 14 weeks (down from 16).

Nvidia is yet to state why GeForce RTX 50 Series cards are in such short supply, nor what steps its taking to address the problem(s). However, an earthquake in Taiwan is apparently forcing the company to delay the release of RTX 5070 and RTX 5060. It’s possible that the seismic activity played a part in affecting RTX 5070 Ti stock but it would’ve had minimal if any effect on RTX 5080 or 5090.

If you’re feeling lucky, it is possible to get either a GeForce RTX 5090 or 5080 Founders Edition direct from Nvidia via its Verified Priority Access program. However, enrolment is only available to those living in the United States, and I can’t imagine there’s terribly many models to go around. Those set on picking up RTX 5070 Ti will just need to continue waiting patiently, wherever they are in the world.

In lieu of an end to Nvidia’s stock woes in sight, AMD potentially has a golden opportunity to tempt away those in search of an upgrade with its Radeon RX 9070 XT. You can expect further updates on all things GeForce RTX 50 and more from Club386 in the coming weeks, so give the site a follow on Google News to stay in the know.
