With mere hours to go until Nvidia officially unveils GeForce RTX 5090 to the world, the first image of the graphics card has leaked. In addition to giving us our first look at the enormous pixel pusher, its retail packaging also give confirms its equally large VRAM capacity.
Retail renders obtained by Videocardz provide our first glimpse at GeForce RTX 5090. More specifically, Inno3D’s ‘iChill’ variant featuring a 3.5 slot cooler design. The size of this heatsink should come as no surprise given that the graphics card’s alleged 575W TGP but we could see Nvidia shrink things down with its Founders Edition models.
The accompanying retail packaging also confirms that GeForce RTX 5090 will feature 32GB of VRAM. However, there’s no confirmation on whether GeForce RTX 5080 will have faster memory as of yet.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will take the stage at CES 2025 in just a few hours, undoubtedly giving the official word on everything GeForce RTX 50 Series. For now, though, here’s a refresher on all the latest rumours surrounding the flagship card.
In addition to sporting DLSS 4, GeForce RTX 5090 and its siblings will sport some form of ‘neural rendering.’ Nvidia has openly discussed the benefits that this real-time technology can offer gaming at SIGGRAPH 2024. I’m quietly confident that we’ll see it in action on this next generation of graphics cards.
Proposed price points for GeForce RTX 5090 vary wildly, ranging from $1,900 to an eye-watering $2,499. Either option would mark a significant increase from the already expensive GeForce RTX 4090. With no high-end competition to contend with, Nvidia is free to set whatever cost it sees fit without worry.
While GeForce RTX 5090 will be the most powerful graphics card in Nvidia’s arsenal, it apparently won’t be the first of its family to arrive on the scene. Instead, GeForce RTX 5080 will lead the charge with the flagship following shortly behind. The wait between each launch shouldn’t be long with each card hitting retail shelves by the end of January.
Once Nvidia gives the official word on GeForce RTX 5090, we’ll have everything you need to know about the card including our impressions in due course. To make sure you don’t miss any of the Club386 CES 2025 coverage, give us a follow on Google News so you don’t miss a single story.
