PlayStation Plus January games are ready to be claimed

Quality over quantity.

It’s that time of the month again when subscription services refresh their lineups. For PlayStation Plus subscribers, we start 2023 with a small batch of three games featuring the well-received Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium members will be able to claim:

  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PS4 and PS5
  • Fallout 76 on PS4
  • Axiom Verge 2 on PS4 and PS5
PlayStation Plus January

While the first two don’t need any introduction, the last one may also be worth your time. Like any true Metroid-like game, Axiom Verge 2 features many mazes, so exploration is key to unlocking new weapons and items that open access to whole new portions of the map.

Some hardcore players may, however, find the game less challenging because of its smooth progression and fast travel mechanics, not to mention the fact that you can often pass by a boss without bothering to fight. And for speed runners, there is the option to play in Speedrun mode which gets rid of all cutscenes, pauses, or any event that can break the flow.

We remind you that PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium can be obtained for £6.99, £10.99, and £13.49 per month, respectively. As is often the case, this initial trio for January may be the tip of the iceberg; PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers often see more games added later in the month. So, stay tuned.
