PlayStation Plus March offering brings three games to all subscription tiers

This may help Battlefield attract more players.

The PlayStation Plus roster for March has been revealed kicking off with three titles including the infamous first-person shooter Battlefield 2042.

To start with, from March 7 to April, 3 PS Plus members can claim:

  • Battlefield 2042 (PS4/PS5)
  • CodeVein (PS4)
  • Minecraft Dungeons (PS4)
PS Plus March - 01

A tasty starter, then sometime later in March, we can look forward to the following additions:

  • Tchia – on its release date
  • Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Rainbow Six Extraction

A pretty impressive list, as usual we should see more games coming before the end of the month.

PS Plus March - 02

Achieving one of, if not the poorest launch of the series due to its complete lack of any story/campaign modes plus its numerous bugs and issues, Battlefield 2042 is a game that got off to a poor start. The switch from a class-based system to a specialist-based one where players could make any combination of guns and equipment didn’t please many battlefield fans, leaving only one way to save the game – listening to the community.

Doing so required a drastic overhaul, from lowering the player count from 128 to 64 on many instances to reduce load which caused lag or rubberbanding, to new maps with better flow. Not to forget the heaps of bug fixes and the reintroduction of classes to encourage teamplay. All this is to say that today the game is in a much better state than before, even though there is still work to do. Offering it for ‘free’ on PS Plus will surely help disillusioned players dip their tows and see first-hand if these changes are worth it.
