Razer unveils Viper V2 Pro gaming mouse with Focus Pro 30K optical sensor

Optical everywhere.

Razer has announced the Viper V2 Pro wireless gaming mouse boasting an all-new optical sensor and lower weight.

Available in black or white colours, this mouse measures 126.7mm (L) x 7.6mm (W) x 37.8mm (H) while weighing only 58g (battery included), making it 20 per cent lighter than the Viper Ultimate.

Razer employs the new Focus Pro 30K optical sensor providing up to 30,000DPI sensitivity, capable of handling 750IPS speed and 70G of acceleration, alongside five programmable buttons using Gen 3 optical switches touting 90-million click durability.

Razer’s new sensor also features Smart Tracking, Motion Sync and Asymmetric Cut-off. The latter has been enhanced to support 26 granular levels of height adjustment, up from three on the previous version. This wider range of customisation allows users to set a take-off and landing distance that suits their play style.

The battery lasts up to 80 hours in constant motion at 1,000Hz polling and recharges via USB-C, which is always welcome. A DPI control button at the bottom allows modification of sensitivity on the fly without needing to open any software.

Finally, the bundle includes a wireless USB dongle plus a USB adapter, Type-A to Type-C Speedflex cable, and Razer’s mouse grip tape.

The Razer Viper V2 Pro mouse is available via Razer’s official website at a £149.99 MSRP.
