Team Red is going bananas with its Zen 5 processors, slashing the price of its 12-core beast.

Everyone’s attention might be firmly fixated on Team Red’s coveted X3D cache, but you shouldn’t count AMD Ryzen 9 9900X out just yet. The Zen 5 deputy has plenty of gaming gumption, all while its 12 cores make short work of content creation and AI workloads. Fortunately for you, the processor is also at its lowest price ever, sporting a fantastic discount.

You can currently grab the CPU 23% cheaper directly from Amazon US, setting you back just $382. We have seen it drop this low twice over the past six months, but the deal never lasts long. In fact, they’re so few and far between, that the only other place I’ve spotted any kind of reduction is a 3% drop in Italy, so make the most of it before it’s gone. AMD Ryzen 9 9900X

A superb 12-core, 24-thread processor that makes short work of high-resolution games in the right system. Read our review.

While we were initially hestitant to praise the chip at MSRP, its newfound price point shines a very different light on the processor. As Tarinder states in his review “dropping the price to $439 / £399 is an immediate remedy that’ll boost attractiveness.” Well, we’re well past that, moving from the realms of affordable to an outright steal.

Looking past my tongue-in-cheek headline, $382 is by no means pocket change, but with today’s fastest graphics card fetching over $4,000 on Ebay, you get the sentiment. Point is, there are cost effective ways to build potent rigs if you shop smart, and in the high-end segment, Ryzen 9 9900X now fits the bill.

Alongside a dozen cores, the Zen 5 chip also sports 64MB L3 cache and a 5.6GHz boost clock that sits tantalisingly close to the flagship. It’s also relatively mindful of your electric bill, asking for just 120W to run.

In return, you get one of the best single-core processors available with impeccable content creation chops and near top-of-the-range gaming performance. Granted, it doesn’t quite hit the heights of Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but more than makes up for it in every other area. After all, we use our PCs for just about everything.

Amazon gives you up to 30 days to have a change of heart, offering a full refund in the first month of purchase if you send it back. And if this doesn’t tick the right boxes for you, then I recommend you follow Club386 on Google News as we’ll unearth more deals just like this one every single day.
