Intel Core i5-14400 may seem unassuming, but don’t let that fool you. While it shares the same hybrid six performance and four efficient core configuration and 16-thread count as its 13th Gen predecessor, it’s got a sharper edge with a boosted 4.7GHz clock speed. Just keep in mind you can’t overclock this one.
RAM-wise, i5-14400 plays nice with both DDR4 and DDR5, depending on your motherboard. If you’ve already got some older modules lying around, it could make for a quick upgrade, although DDR5 is worth the extra pennies should your budget stretch that far.
