Black Friday looms with savings stretching as far as the eye can see, and several of AMD’s Ryzen prices have tumbled to new lows. Whether you’re after a budget AM4 build or fancy something a touch more modern with AM5, you’ll almost certainly find a suitable CPU for your budget and needs. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the deals.

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

“An adept gaming processor, Ryzen 5 9600X delivers solid performance with meagre power requirements and low operating temperatures.” Read our review.

Starting with the latest of the bunch, AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is currently $246.99 on Amazon US, down 11% ($32.01) from its list price of $279.00. UK shoppers can enjoy an even larger 29% (£93.82) discount on the processor, bringing its cost to just £229.98.

Now capable of running with a 105W TDP, the value of this Zen 5 processor is much higher than it was at launch. Freed from its power constraints, the gap between it and its predecessor is much starker. That’s not forgetting the inherent advantages of its core architecture, including superior performance in production workflows. This CPU might just surprise you with its capabilities.

AMD Ryzen 5 7600

A perky processor with an affordable price tag, Ryzen 5 7600 is a budget darling for those putting together an AM5 system.

Naturally, as the slightly older series, there are more Ryzen 7000 series deals for you to pick from. Don’t let their relative age turn you away, though, as these chips still pack performance and value in spades.

Entry-level Ryzen 5 7600 can be yours for $178.99 in the US or £171.00 in the UK. While its sibling, Ryzen 5 7600X, is also available for a steep discount, the better deal is the non-X chip. Not only does the X-less model come with a compatible cooler, but its performance relative to its bigger brother is practically identical. This is the best road to getting an AM5 build up and running in terms of value, bar none, and has all the chops necessary for keeping up with the demands of today’s games.

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X

Packing almost as much performance as Ryzen 7 5800X at a fraction of the price, this AM4 processor is a steal with an additional discount.

At last, we come to Ryzen 5000. While AMD has moved on to AM5 there’s still so much value and performance left in AM4 for those willing to forgo a long-term upgrade path. Better still, the maturity of the platform means it’s extremely affordable and becomes even more so with these deals.

Ryzen 7 5700X is one of the shining stars of AM4, providing almost as much performance as 5800X without the hefty price tag. Add a whopping 59% ($189) discount on top, and this eight-core powerhouse becomes a phenomenal deal for $130 – its lowest price yet in the US. There are also similar savings across the pond, with 52% (£170) off, making for a slim £159 asking price.

“A great-value processor that’s now a third of its original price.”

Ryzen 5 5600X is another great example of past-generation processors that still pack a ton of value. This CPU was already a decent grab at $299 back in 2020, but it becomes an absolute dream with a further 17% discount on top of annual price reductions, bringing it down to an all-time low of $105.

That’s six cores, superior in performance to those found in devices like Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles for practically nothing as processors go. Nevermind the fact that DDR4 RAM and an X570 or B550 motherboard can be hand for a song these days. Suffice it to say, this is an excellent option to put at the heart of a cheap and cheerful gaming system.
