Xbox Series S 1TB deal saves you a chunk of money

An Xtremely good deal.

As much as we love a good DIY PC build, there’s nothing quite like plug and play, set and forget gaming. No deep diving into settings to get it running just right, simply press a button and load in. Xbox Series S debatably offers the most value out there, packing the power of the current generation with a budget price tag. The 1TB model is now even more affordable, slipping down to its cheapest ever.

Currently, Amazon UK offers 12% off, reducing the console to just £263. This is even lower than the sale we saw last month. Our friends across the pond also get a good deal, as Amazon US chops 13% off, bringing Microsoft’s machine down to $329.99. Hunting around Europe is a mixed bag, as the system is still €393.99 in France, but slips to an unbeatable €299.98 in Italy. It’s definitely worth clicking the link below and checking it out for yourself.

“Experience current-gen performance without the lofty price tag, as Series S now comes in a sleek black case with a 1TB NVMe SSD under the hood.”

Don’t let the sleek black chassis fool you, it’s the same Xbox Series S underneath, albeit with a bigger 1TB SSD. Effectively doubling your storage means you can fit more games and spend less time reinstalling. To quantify just how big 1TB is, you can fit Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Forza Motorsport, and Baldur’s Gate 3, while still having enough room for the latest releases. If this still isn’t enough for you, then there’s always room for the optional expansion card.

Unlike it’s bigger brother, Series S is completely digital with no disc drive and caps out at 1440p resolution. While this means you won’t be able to trade in your games, it makes the best use of its four Teraflops to hit that coveted 120Hz refresh rate. Things are only getting better, too, as the push into FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) gives supported games an extra frame rate boost. It’s early days and not too many have adopted the feature, but the tech has come a long way from where it once was.

The final secret weapon in the console’s arsenal is Xbox Game Pass. Currently, Series S is the cheapest way to get your hands on the subscription, which gives unprecedented access to a myriad of games from Starfield to Senua’s Saga: Helldblade II. It’ll even reportedly get Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on the day of release.

As usual, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for the best deals out there.
